Using A Sunscreen
An oily skin is prone to many problems with the exposure to sun. So, it is very essential to use a sunscreen. A sunscreen for an oily skin should be oil free. It should protect against UVA as well as UVB rays. Regular application of sunscreen is very important to avoid and increase the problems like blackheads, acne, pimples etc.
Check Your Diet
It is true that wrong diet is also responsible for making the skin oily. If you have oily skin and you take oily and junk food then it will aggravate the problem. Food stuff rich in fats should be strictly avoided to maintain a healthy and glowing skin. Intake of green leafy vegetables and fruits should be increased if you have oily skin.
Keep The Skin Hydrated
It is one of the most important things to be done. Intake of water should be at least eight to ten glasses in a day. Water helps to flush the toxins out of the body thus keeping the skin healthy and glowing. Also, increase the intake of fresh juices to get the desired glow.
Right Amount Of Sleep
Sleep is very essential to keep the skin healthy and glowing. So, switch to a lifestyle where you can get enough sleep. Deprivation of sleep and stress can result in secretion of more oil in the body which can have adverse effect on the skin. Therefore, it is very essential to avoid such situation.
Applying natural aloe Vera gel can prove wonders for the oily skin. Just take the leaf of this plant slice it and apply its gel on the face. Let it dry and just wash the face with water. It will not only give a refreshing feeling but also keep the skin healthy. Always carry soft facial tissues while stepping out of the house.
Wipe the face frequently with these tissues to remove the excessive oil and dust. Using clay mask on the face once in a week is very helpful. Using a homemade scrub of almonds which are grounded and honey is very helpful to clean the pores of the oily skin. Honey has antibacterial properties and its ph factor gives a balancing effect to the oily aspect of the skin.
Using it alone as a mask is also very helpful for the oily skin. Lemon is very good natural astringent. Rub the lemon in the face and then wash the face with the lukewarm water. This will clean the pores of the skin. Tomato can be used in place of lemon.
Remember that regular and right care of the oily skin is very important to maintain beautiful skin. The above guidelines should be made a permanent part of the daily routine for permanent results. Following them irregularly will not give you desired results.
