Grihapravesha

The bride is asked to step forward and push a pot full of rice by her right foot.
Sambandhi virandh
A simple ritual of exchanging gifts in the form of clothing and sweets amongst the parents of bride and groom.
Valeyadal
Another sober ceremony in which the sister of the groom gifts the bride a gift in the form of sari or jewelry. Post this ritual starts traditional games amongst the family members. This is done in order to entertain the new bride.

This ceremony is performed in the same way as performed before the wedding as a pre –wedding ritual , the only different being that this ritual is performed in bride`s new home.
