Let your skin do the talking

SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend

Every bride-to-be desperately wishes to feel the womanhood in full bloom during her wedding. The natural glow on her face does all the talking. The angelic shimmer is obviously expected on every bride and comes out only due to eternal happiness and a healthy skin. In case either are lacking, let’s be blunt, get ready for compromises. Read on otherwise.

Bridal skin care is more or less different than the daily skin care. We are looking forward for an exceptionally healthy and glowing skin. Do not be distracted by media advertising and start to follow the product blindly. True, you will have to start visiting the beauty parlous frequently but be careful not to get obsessive with anything. Even extra sugar spoils the dessert.

Have an appointment with your beautician at least 6 weeks before your wedding and plan out the number of sittings for the facials and the other parlor treatments. Apart from the parlor treatments there are some simple skin care rituals.

The standard four steps of daily skin care are cleansing, exfoliating, toning and moisturizing. It is important to know your skin type before any treatment as each skin has different demands.

For Dry skin

Women with dry skin should use a rich cream cleanser and use of astringent must be avoided as they tend to dry the skin further. Only use a mild toner. Use moisturizer generously.

A paste of crushed almonds with milk if applied for 15 mins daily for 15 days can do wonders to dry skin.

For Oily skin

Oily skin must always be washed with medicated soap to avoid acne troubles. Regular use of toner and astringent are helpful. Beaten egg whites when applied for 20 mins are helpful in skin tightening.

Women with combination skin or with T-zones should treat each area of the skin differently.

For complete skin of the body to appear beautiful, apply fresh mixture of equal amounts of lemon juice, cucumber juice and honey to entire body after bath and wash off after 20 mins. See the results for yourself.

Drink at least 10 glasses of fresh water everyday. Exercise regularly and eat healthy. These simple things will not just keep your skin healthy but will also keep you away from stress.
