Vitamin C deficiency can lead to several health disorders. The most known among them is a disease called scurvy. There will be bleeding gums and as a result of that, teeth become weakened. There will also be a reduced synthesis of the neurotransmitter norepinephrine.

Vitamin C is also said to increase the stamina and strength in the body and therefore, lack of vitamin C or deficiency of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) can lead to generalized weakness and lack of interest in sexual activities. This could be because sexual activities may require additional strength and interests. There will be swinging in the mood and a person may become irritable. The lethargy and loss of appetite are also reported in severe vitamin C deficiency.
