Vitamin B1 also known as Thiamine is one of the vital nutrients required for the body. The vitamin is utilized for carrying out various body functions. But the storage of the vitamin is very minimal in the body and it gets depleted within a period of 14 days. The female dosage is lesser than the male accounting to approximately 1.0 mg per day for the age of 60 plus as compared to 1.4 mg for the male dosage for the same age group.
