Tips To Detect Online Scams

onlinescamCaution Flags:

The Federal Trade committees and some other financial experts always advise that phony sales calls and proposals offer only scam investments therefore, they have provided the masses with important information to caution them. Some of them is listed below:

- The financial companies will offer higher returns on your money than the other investment parties will.

- They will lure you with the guarantee of large profits in short span of time.

- They will show minimum risk in the opportunity.

- They will give you some excuses like “market is moving” or “opportunity won’t last long” and will put pressure on you to invest right now.

- They will play with your actual fears. More often than none, they target seniors with such worries like- they do not have enough income or no funds for disastrous emergencies.

How to protect yourself:

It is quite possible that even you can be lured into such conditions where you see the good refunds but such conditions can be avoided by adopting some rules for handling the approach to investments and savings.

Ignore calls or mails:

This is the safest option if you want to avoid such scams. It is possible that even reputed companies also can do cold calls but anyhow “just say no” to such calls. Such calls take the weapon of being trustworthy, sounding friendly, concerned about your finance and other assets. If you really want to make the investment first do the homework with the C.A. or any accountant you trust and then take a call for the investment.

Never Respond Immediately:

Whenever you receive such call never react quickly by saying “yes” to them even if you are thinking strongly about investment at that time. Just listen to their offers and tell them politely- “please call me later”. Thereafter, do a proper research on the offers. Only if they sound good enough you can think of investing. This is true for any investment opportunity, even from any reputed investment company or from friend.
