Remedies for Oily Skin
Oily skins texture is seen in those people whose sebaceous glands are overactive. These glands are the reasons for producing more than required amount of oil on the skin. Due to presence of this oil, the skin becomes thick, coarse, and shiny. Some may even cause pimples and blackheads. Sometimes the oily skins also depend upon the heredity hormones and the specific diets. Oily skin is very common in teenagers and thus they are more prone to pimples.
The person with oily skin needs some special treatments and proper cleansing with hot water. They should use specific soap to prevent the skin pores from being clogged. However, taking a variety of cosmetics can also be harmful as some of the chemical based cosmetics produce flakiness in the skin. These cosmetics react with the oil glands of the body and extract all the natural oil, which should be there in the body to maintain a balance. Even, some of the products stop the oil flow from the skin pores thus making the oil to flow out in the form of pimples.
Skin facial should be done from time to time with the products specifically designed for oily skin texture. The moisturizers for oily skin should be taken for moisturizing purposes. These help the skin to maintain a good shine free complexion and the products which are oil based should be used to dissolve sebum.
Skin cleansing is very important, thus, the face should be washed three to four times in a day, especially in the morning and before going to sleep. Washing the face regularly also balances the oil content on the face. However too much washings can be harmful as it will stimulate the face skin to make more oil.
Try to avoid skin care products, which contain alcohol. Avoid exposure to sun as the oil excretion increases with the heat exposure. In addition, save the face from collecting dust particles as the oily skin attract the dust. Taking some natural home remedies can also save the skin from being too much oily.
