Your kitchen is one of the most important areas in your house. It is essential to keep your kitchen neat and clean because here you prepare the food that you and your family consume. Thus, maintaining hygienic conditions in the kitchen is mandatory. However, most of the time this place remains the most neglected one. After the whole days work we have very less time and energy to clean and organize this place. Here are some short tips to help you keep this place organized and clean.
Nowadays most of the homes have modular kitchen. This makes work easier. However, if you do not have one, than you need to make certain special arrangements that will help you work smoothly in this area of your home. There should be separate shelves for separate items. Store the cutting appliances in a separate drawer away from other utensils. Keep the utensils that you require for daily use like frying pan, dishes, serving bowls, etc. in near by shelves.
Clean your kitchen’s sink at least twice a week. Generally, the pipe and the water passing hole gets blocked due to accumulation of wastes like tea leaves, vegetable residues, etc. In order to release this jam, pour half cup baking soda and half cup vinegar down the pipe. After a gap of 5 minutes pour a glass of hot water in this outlet. This will release the jam and the pipe will be clean.
Always wipe your utensils and make them dry before placing them on the shelves. Otherwise, metal fittings on shelves will get rusted due to the water that will sip from those utensils. The best option is to use paper napkins to wipe your utensils than the same old cloth piece as this is more hygienic.
Clean your gas oven properly after cooking. Otherwise, accumulated food can cause great amount of damage to it. Generally, the best option is to open the detachable parts and wash them with soapy water at least twice a week. However, for every day cleaning if you see that there is some food accumulated around the burner than wipe it with a solution of salt and water.
