Hand tattoos are quite popular these days. There are various kinds of tattoos which are generally applied on hands. Applying tattoos on hands may require a lot of precaution and safety as there are blood vessels, tendons and nerves run near the surface of the hands. Not much muscle or fat are there on the hands to cover these delicate nerves and blood vessels. Thus extra precaution must be taken while applying tattoos on the hand.

While western countries go for the permanent tattoos on their hand Indians uses henna which is a natural color obtained from henna leaves. This not a painful process at all and stays on for as along as a month. Beautiful and exotic designs are created with the henna mostly on the bride’s hand. Henna is also used for tattooing in rituals like wedding and religious festivals. Newly wedded brides wear henna tattoos both on their hands. Grooms are also made to wear henna tattoos on their wedding. This henna tattoos is completely free from any harmful effects.

Hand tattoos definitely give a new image to a person. It makes him stand out in the crowd. It has become quite popular with women too and thus many people are going for tattooing their hands with their favorite designs.
