The war tattoos also became quite popular in those times. Many Americans wore tattoos to dedicate it to the war heroes. And thus tattoo became a significant part of the American people and their history as well. However the tattoo history of United States depicts the fact of giving this exotic art a mass appeal. American people were the first to consider this unique art form to be fashionable and trendy.

Down the years from its first use, tattoos were started to be seen on famous and celebrated people. Film stars, rock stars wore tattoos on different parts of their body. Thus the use of tattoos became quite extensive and popular among the common people.
