The skin may even swell a little bit and it may even discharge pus of blood. The area where the tattoo is done may get a bit tender. The person may get fever if he gets an infection from the tattoo. Infection may also happen if the person suffers pain from that are even after forty eight hours after the tattoo is done.

Some people have a very sensitive skin type. These are people who are more prone to infections and thus it is recommended for them to avoid getting a tattoo done of their body. Infections from tattoos may not only occur on the surface of the skin, but they even take a serious turn and have Staphylococcus aurous, an infection that can cause craniological injury.

Tattoos which are safely applied taking all the necessary precaution are quite harmless. Of course one must have a proper after care for his or her tattoo to keep it free from any infection.
