Tattoos have become quite trendy and fashionable in the past few decades. And more and more people are getting attracted to this exotic art form day by day. But the most serious fact about this art is that it may prove to be quite harmful for health. Various kinds of diseases especially skin diseases and allergies. Allergies are quite common for people bearing a tattoo. Allergies may happen due to various reasons. Allergies mostly happen due to the usage of inks and dyes which are not up to the recommended standard.

The red ink and the green ink sometimes cause allergies which may start with itching and irritation and reddening of the skin. The red ink is a familiar cause of allergy. It is quite intriguing to know that tattoo allergies may not only appear just after it is done. Allergies may even appear long after the tattoo has been done. Sometimes it may take years to appear. Allergies related to tattoos mostly happen to people who have a very sensitive skin and thus they should consider the fact with vital importance. People who are prone to allergies must also consider this fact very seriously as they may get anaphylactic shock or hypersensitive reaction. This may sometimes become life threatening.

The tattoo inks nowadays contain certain elements like nickel, chromium and cadmium. These elements may not prove to be harmful always. But sometimes the presence of nickel in the ink may cause allergies to the skin. Sometimes weather or body temperature affects the skin greatly. Thus if there is a rise in the body temperature or weather, the tattooed skin may get irritation and slight swelling.

Though allergies are not very frequent but people who are allergic or have sensitive skin must have a good thought before going for tattooing their body. While selecting the tattoo parlor one must avail the best in the city which ensures proper safety measures while doing the tattoo.
