It is a natural phenomenon by which voice of people is an identity factor and very less people have same voice pitch and quality. Even the voice of a person can indicate his prakruti (nature). As an example in people who have vata dominance have harsh, weak, broken, slow, indistinct and un continuous where a person with kapha dominance have clear and a commanding sound.
Maharishi charak has mentioned that voices varies from person to person and is different in different individual. It has been seen that after careful observation we can compare voice of people with sounds produced by hansa (swan), croucha (crane), nemi (ruddy goose), dundubhi (drum), lkalavinga (sparrow), kaaka (crow), kapota (pegion) or the sound of a rattling nature in their normal state. If the sound of a person is not natural and by careful observation it resembles the beating of a goat or is feeble in nature, choked or may be inarticulate. It may appear to be sobbing, harsh, mournful, or stammering. Voices that are different from the natural may be considered as a sign of impending danger and particularly so, if the voices are multiple in the same person.
In patient suffering from pitta aggression may laugh and prattle with kapha in defect, his voice may be feeble and chocked and with vata dominance he may be talkative.
