Hiranandani Developers Private Limited is a Mumbai-based Real Estate Company that was incorporated in early 1980s by the Hiranandani brothers Niranjan and Surendra. It took up its first construction project at Versova in 1981 and from then on there was no looking back.
Hiranandani Developers launched two flagship projects viz. Hiranandani Gardens, Powai in 1987 and Hiranandani Estate, Thane in 1996. These are 300 acre integrated townships that boast of modern infrastructure like concrete roads, regular water supply, effective sewage disposal, and electricity and high-tech communication networks.
After strengthening and gaining reputation in its core construction segment, Hiranandani Developers diversified into retail, entertainment, hospitality, InfoTech, education, horticulture and healthcare sectors.
Hiranandani Developers have many firsts to their credit, among them is the concept of mixed- use townships. The aim was to develop self-sufficient communities where school, office, garden, shops and restaurants will just be a pleasant walk away from the home.
The main emphasis in their projects is on high quality and creating an ideal living environment. For this they pay detailed attention to landscaping, parks, shopping and recreational facilities.
Pioneers
Hiranandani has broken new ground in many ways. From the use of Fly Ash in concrete in India to the introduction of copper plumbing, from 100% recycling of sewage and rain water harvesting in all its properties to the introduction of indigenous varieties of trees and shrubs in the fabric of urban communities, Hiranandani Developers have pioneered all of these.
Hiranandani group teamed up with ETA Star to develop world’s tallest residential building, the 380 meter high 23 Marina in Dubai . It is a 90-storey edifice with 57 swimming pools.
The group is also behind the development of India ’s first flyover mall the Western Mall in Mumbai.
Corporate Social Responsibility
To fulfill its responsibility towards the community the Hiranandani’s have drafted the State Policy for slum rehabilitation in Mumbai which will improve the well-being of over 6 million slum dwellers.
The group has been acting as an adviser to the government of India on the housing and habitat policy and has been honored by the Concrete Institute of America.
