Pregnancy is defined as carrying one or more embryos or fetuses by female mammals in their uteruses, including humans. During any pregnancy, there can be multiple gestations (for instance, in the case of twins, or triplets or even more). Human pregnancy is the subject that has been most studied among all mammalian pregnancies. The human pregnancy lasts approximately nine months between the time of the LMP (last menstrual period) and the birth of a baby (38 weeks from fertilization). The medical term for the pregnant lady is genetalian, just as the medical term for the live baby is an embryo (early stages) and then fetus (until it takes birth).
In many societies, the medical and legal definitions, human pregnancy is fairly arbitrarily classified into three trimester tenures, in order to simplify reference to the different stages of the development of the fetus.
First signs of pregnancy – the general idea
The first trimester period (first three months) have the highest risks of miscarriage (natural death of embryo or fetus) and it is during the second trimester that the development of the fetus might start to be supervised and diagnosed. The third trimester checks the beginning of viability that means the fetus might survive if premature (an early birth) birth occurs. Before pregnancy begins, a female ovum (egg) must join, by male sperm in a process referred to in medical science as "fertilization", or commonly (though maybe inaccurately) as conception.
It is quite natural that when the pregnancy begins, there are various changes in the woman’s body and that alter the living and physiology of the woman’s body. The signs are called as early pregnancy signs or first signs of pregnancy. They carry a lot of importance since they are the symptoms that draw everybody’s attention that something is happening inside the female’s body. First pregnancy signs are the signal that the woman might be pregnant and then she should undergo certain tests to confirm it and if they all turn to be positive, she should start taking care for herself and most importantly for her baby.
The care includes taking healthy diet, balanced diet, health supplements and lots of other things. Proper care of mother and child will end up into a smooth delivery with no hassles and opposite to that, if they are careless, the event may end up in damaging woman’s body and probably the risks of losing the child’s life.
Here are some common first signs of pregnancy
Tenderness in Breasts
First signs of pregnancy are the breasts to become very tender as well as the experiencing of a bloated abdomen. As such pregnancy symptoms are very similar to the signs of the body just before the menstrual cycle to come in, it could be very confusing for anyone. Many Women also start urinating more times a week or so after being conceived and the woman’s body temperature might also rise a little bit within a week after being conceived. These first signs of pregnancy or symptoms occur due to ovulation. The increased body temperature can stay until the time when the next menses are generally expected.
Spotting
There would be pinkish or brown spotting same as what they feel in the beginning of the menstrual cycle is among the first signs of pregnancy. The discharges are one of the important pregnancy symptoms as they are not as heavy as normal menstrual bleeding. At this point it is important that the pregnancy could be confirmed through any kind of pregnancy tests. If there is severe bleeding while the tests show positive results then the expecting woman should consult immediately with her healthcare provider. This early sign of pregnancy will often occur in the case of an embryo attaching itself to some abnormal and unwanted part of the uterus.
Tiredness and uneasiness
Pregnant women oftentimes experience severe fatigue and restlessness in the some early stage of their pregnancies. This is again first sign of pregnancy, which can be extremely confusing to her and even to her doctor. It is similar like any other form of uneasiness or fatigue that her body experiences as an instance just because of the stress and physical exhaustion. The cramps feeling in the uterus, because of heavy exercising or while experiencing an orgasm, might be considered as one of the first signs of pregnancy, too.
