A wedding reception is a party held after a wedding ceremony. The party guests would dance to music and have food whilst celebrating the wedding. The reception of the party must be well planned. The reception can be held at the venue of the ceremony or a different place can be hired for the reception. The reception area must be decorated with attractive romantic colors that are in accordance with the colour theme.
When the party has begun the master of ceremony is the one who should be controlling the ceremony. The master of ceremony should introduce the wedding party to the guests and welcome all the guests. The couple with their bride maids can get into the room doing their dances or they will have their first dances when everyone is in the room.
The next thing is to have the food or a meal. The priest should pronounce grace before the meal. Some wedding would have a children reception area that is different from the adults’ reception area. At the children reception area they will be served food that is most liked by kids. During this time of eating speeches and toasts can be done so as to cut on time. The best man can make the toast to the newly wedded couple. After the meal and the speeches it is now time to dance and enjoy the music. The bridal team can then move to the dance floor and start their dances. The music should always be rolling without unnecessary breaks.
They are no strict rules for the wedding reception but everything needs to be timed out properly. The cutting of the cake can now follow. The pieces of cake can be passed around to guests in plates by the bride maids. After the cake then people can continue dancing and socializing. The guests with presents would also need to handover their gifts.
Wedding favors can be given to the guests at the end of the reception.
