Favors should be bought depending on affordability, location, style and theme of the wedding. A formal invitation for a formal wedding would require a more elegant favour. The favours can be given to your guests as they went out or you can place them on the table. Large favors can be placed on the reception on a bigger table and they should be nicely decorated. If you can afford to buy the more expensive favours, they need to be wrapped in more appealing paper.
The type of favour should also depend on the location of the wedding. For a place with a warm climate, favors like ice cream and chocolates should be avoided since they will melt. The favors that you are going to give to your guests also need to be wrapped with papers or boxes that incorporate with the theme
The different groups of your guests should also be taken into consideration when making your favors. Age and gender should strongly be considered. Ladies might like favors of little flowers or sweet foods of which males would not appreciate it. Kids would also require favors that are sweet and maybe little toys as favours.
When wrapping the favours they need to have stickers of the guests name and tied with ribbons.
The wedding favors you might have also depend on the number of guests. Making the favors yourself for a large number of guests will make it tedious hence there is option to buy the favors.
