First chose some nice picture, it can be of flowers or hearts or even chocolates in a heart shaped box, or something romantic such as lovers holding hands. Use Photoshop illustrator to edit the picture and add your own words there.
One important factor of the card is the color. When it comes to valentine day, we tend to go for red, but that is not necessary. Use any bright color you like, and try to use at least three to four colors, which will make the invitation look more attractive.
You have to remember that it is a valentine day party invitation, and just mentioning the place and time will make the card look very dull, even if you have a really nice picture on the top of it. Add some nice love quotes. They are available on the internet. You can also quote famous authors like Shakespeare and Wordsworth.
Last but not the least; add some fragrance to the card. You do not have to rush to the stores for a perfumed card. You can make your very own perfumed cards at home. Just spray some perfume on a tissue paper and then let it dry. Once it is dried, you can either put it in the card if it is a folding one. If not then put the tissue paper and the card inside the envelope. Leave it for a while. Make sure you take out the tissue paper out of the card or the envelope before you send away the invitation. And also the perfume that you would use needs to be strong. That way the fragrance will last longer.
