If the house is going to be decorated with balloons then the balloons need to be tied in a bunch of odd numbers mixing the colors of the theme and should be decorated in pairs. The tables need to have a floral centre piece. The ceiling and the walls can also be decorated with streamers and ribbons. The tables can also be decorated with finger foods. Since there will be more motion than sitting, finger foods would be best so that guests would just pick as they tour the house.
A welcoming poster or banner must be placed outside your house to welcome the guests and let the guests know where the party is. Ribbons can also be tied to the doors to make them look attractive. Inside candles can be lit for a glamorous touch. Fire can also be lit in the fire place. Colored lamps can also be used; they will make the house feel very warm.
Some of the housewarming parties do not have decorations. This is so because decorations would not clearly show what your house looks like. Decorations are not also proper if you have renovated your house by renovating the floors or walls or bought new furnishing. The new furnishing should not be covered with fabric since they are to be seen by guests.
