Easy Potty Seats

Potty training is a crucial part of baby’s development process. Easy potty seats that match your potty training method help in simplifying this mammoth task.

Before buying an easy potty seat, you need to first decide where you want your baby to start his\her training. Will it be in a regular toilet or a room in the house?

Baby potty chair

This is a standalone potty chair that can be placed on the floor in any room. It has a hole in the middle and comes in a variety of designs. The benefits of using it are:

  • A big toilet can be scary for little kids whereas a small potty chair allows them to place their feet comfortably on the floor.
  • Children have no trouble getting on and off the seat by themselves.
  • Since they are free standing you can get your child to pass his\her stools anywhere while keeping him\her occupied in TV or games.
  • Some of these chairs come with features like music, story telling etc which keep the child entertained.

Potty chairs also have a few disadvantages. You have to remove the bowl and clean it up once the child is done with his\her business. You will have to train your child again to use the regular toilet once he\she grows up or has to use a toilet outside the house.

Toilet Seat Attachment

If you plan to potty train your baby in a regular bathroom you will need a toilet seat adapter. Once your little one learns how to balance on the seat, the adapter will ensure that he\she does not fall through the toilet.

Cleaning these seats is quite easy as you can put it in a sink and give it a good wash. These come in a portable variety too, so you can carry them on a holiday. Even if you can’t carry it along, your baby will not create a fuss on having to use a big toilet.

The challenge of course is convincing your child to sit in a boring bathroom and wait till the deed is done. Since the regular toilets are not approachable for children, you will also need a stool to get your child onto the seat.

Both styles have their pros and cons and you need to chalk out your potty training method before buying an easy potty seat.
