The process of digesting protein is actually done across different stages in our bodies. The first or initial phase of digestion occurs inside of the stomach and the following stages take place in the small intestine. Fatty protein sources from products like fattier types of meat take longer to absorb and digest and can lead to digestive problems if you consume too many of them.

These foods are excellent for helping our bodies break down the amino acids and are easier to digest and move through our system. The absorption of proteins in our bodies is essential in order for the body to be able to process the nutrients that we consume and that our bodies need.
