Ingredients for Tomato Chutney:
5-6 large sized tomatoes
10 Green chilies
1 cup of sesame
1 cup of groundnuts
1 cup of coriander
1 cup of pudina
1 cup of curry leaves
Small size of Tarmarind
5-6 Bun Garlic Cloves
3 Mustard Seeds
Jerra
3 Red chilies
Turmeric Powder to taste
Salt to taste
Instructions for Preparing Tomato Chutney:
Boil the tomatoes along with the green chilies, pudina, coriander, curry leaves, garlic cloves and the tamarind. Add in turmeric powder and salt to the mixture
Fry the sesame and groundnut in a Kadai until it becomes a light, golden brown and then grind. Add to the powder and mixture and boil until it is fully cooked.
Grind the mixture into a smooth consistency of paste.
Heat the oil in a kadai and add in the mustard seeds, dry chilies, coriander, curry leaves and jeera. Add this mixture to the tomato paste.
Serve with rice and chappaties
