All human beings have facial hair. While men do everything to increase the growth of facial hair during their adolescence, women are programmed to do otherwise. Facial hair in women is undesirable and hence a major cause for worry. While light hair growth on the face can be camouflaged with bleaching and threading, heavy and coarse hair can be very distressing for women and difficult to hide.
Excessive hair growth can be caused due to a number of factors. The most common among them is hormonal imbalances. Hair growth due to hormonal changes can be set right through proper medication. Genetics too plays a great role in excessive hair growth. While there is no cure for hair growth if you are genetically predisposed, you can remove them permanently through competent treatment methods.
Coarse hair does not respond to any sort of treatment other than laser technology or electrolysis. However, these treatment methods are very complex and expensive and are not an option for everyone. Most women resort to threading and the use of hair removal creams. Threading is pulling out hair follicles from the root. It slows down hair growth, but definitely does not stop growth. Hair removal creams offer solace for a day of two after which hair starts growing back as stubbles which are quite unsightly as well as prickly.
Hair removal creams are chemical based and hence damage your skin and make it rough and dark with frequent usage. There are quite a few natural hair removal methods that you can practice at home. But be warned that these methods do not offer instant results. But continuous and careful application of these natural methods will surely offer great results along with softer, smoother and natural looking skin.
