As we all know men are obsessed about having rock solid six-pack abs and women love them and are somehow crazy about that. This holds true for women too because right now the trend is that women would like to flaunt their abs too in their bikinis.
It is definitely not a miracle to get a well-toned body with flat abs and it is definitely not achieved overnight. Some people might be blessed to have a lean body but not everyone. It needs a lot of dedication in working your way out to get that flat abs.
Women and men generally tend to get the fat accumulated in the abdominal areas due to various reasons like sitting behind desk for long hours, lack of exercise, lack of motivation, drinking, fatty foods etc. Pregnancy is also a factor for women.
When it comes to getting flat abs, it is all about calories and exercise. It is no doubt that patience and commitment go hand in hand in this and all weight-loss programs swear by it.
The key to achieving this is proper diet, exercise, and being able to commit to a proper regime. Here are some of the exercises that will help you tone your abdominal muscles for a flat tummy.
1. Ab crunches: Crunches are the best way to get those flat abs. Just a few minutes of crunches on the floor or on the exercise ball everyday will do wonders. Pilates is a good technique you can indulge into which tones the whole body.
2. Cardio: You must always start your exercise with some cardio. This can be done with a simple walk or jog or running on the treadmill for 30 minutes. Cardio not only burns calories, it also burns the fat and speeds up your metabolism.
3. Diet: Diet plays an important role in weight-loss. Try to avoid foods high in calories, fat, and carbs. Instead, indulge in high-fiber and lean meat (protein) diet.
Staying in shape does not mean not eating at all. Just follow a good nutrition and healthy life style and of course exercise. Last but not the least, drink at least 8-10 glasses of water everyday.
Do not make your exercise routine a boring activity. Be creative and do it with friends. Also, do not forget to consult your physician before you start any exercise regime.
