When to Say, “I Love You”

Finding the right person is a challenge. Asking that person out for a date is exciting but the biggest task is to let the person know how you feel. Yes I am talking about the very moment you say “I love you.” Trust me; those three words do have magic.

But to utter the magical phrase, you need to wait for the right time. You do not want to mess up.

But before you proceed, there is one thing you have to keep in mind. You have to respect the feelings of the person you are about to propose. The person may not feel the same way about you as you do for her/him.

At the same time, you have to be absolutely sure about your feelings before you make a move, because many a times people mistake lust for love.

And there are times when people are insecure and afraid of being alone and seek companionship. Do not let these factors make you propose to someone. That will only lead to trouble.

Sometimes we also mistake infatuation for love as well. Often it happens that you meet someone and you start to like that person immediately.

You might spend some time with that person and it seems that the feelings grow even stronger. You might even propose, but what matters the most is how long that strong feeling lasts.

If you lose interest in that person after a short while, then that is definitely not love and telling the three magical words to that person is a big mistake.

My advice is, before you make the big move, take some time. First of all get to know that person better. Find out whet things you have in common. Do you share the same dreams?

Are sure you are not insecure and opting for a temporary solution? What qualities do you seek in your partner? Does that person have those qualities?

You have to have the answers to all these questions. Once you know then tell person how you feel. Be honest to yourself and things will be all right. All the best!
