Wallet Style

So you though that your wallet was not a give away with regards to your personality. You sure have got it wrong. Wallets say a lot about what kind of person you are. And please get over the silly notion that your wallet must be big and fat, people are not going to ever believe that it is full of money as you so wish them to believe.
So let’s junk all those extras in our wallets and bring them back into factual practical use again. One advice I was given once was that every New Year I should just go out and get myself a new wallet. This will insure I have a nice clean one as well as it would give me a chance of regularly clean it out.
Gloria Peterson the head of ‘Global Protocol’, an etiquette training organization, says we need to see our wallets as a stylish survival kit. She says the biggest mistake most men make is when they try to put everything into their wallets. What we need to do is to figure out what are the essentials that we really need. Once we have a clear idea then we need to junk all the rest and insure we do not let stuff get back into our wallets.
Here is what one may consider as essential for our wallets. Let’s start with your driving license; this is a must so get it into that wallet of yours. Next would be your medical insurance. When it comes to credit cards instead of having the entire bunch of them clogging up space, keep just one and at the maximum two. Keep the rest in your brief case or in a locked drawer at home. One debit card, two or three pictures of the family and a few visiting cards is all you need in a wallet. Everything else that you have is not required and should be junked or at least kept in another place.
When buying a wallet try and find one which has several smart pockets for you to keep the few things that you need on a regular basis. Always keep some money in one of these safe pockets for that rainy day. It sure will come in handy. Lastly look for a wallet which will go well with your other leather accessories like your shoes and belt. These little things do count.
