In medical terminology, Yeast is an infection of the skin. It can appear in any part of the body. Generally, it is believed that this infection will appear in any part of the body that has damp conditions like in the armpit or in the genital area.

This is because in damp conditions, Yeast bacteria will grow rapidly. But, there are instances where this infection will appear in the scalp which is not a damp area.

However, in some cases, the infection may reappear. There are instances where after use of the anti-bacterial medicines, the infection becomes more severe. In such cases, the doctor may prescribe some other suitable medicines depending on the severity of the infection.

Some homeopathic medicines are known to cure effectively, Yeast infection of the Scalp. Some herbal medicines like Tea tree oil are also known to cure this infection.

Other herbal medicines include Lavender oil, Eucalyptus oil and Chamomile oil that are quite effective in combating this infection. This infection can be effectively controlled by not using shampoos that contain Sodium Laureth Sulphate, which causes allergy in some people.

Unless proper treatment is taken, it would be very difficult to control this infection of the Scalp.
