Thomas Cruise Map other IV, who was born in 1962 in Syracuse, New York to nomadic parents, is nonetheless today’s one of the best-liked members of the movie community ‘Tom Cruise’. At his childhood his ambition was to become a priest. The young Tom spent his boyhood moving from town to town and by the time he was 14 he shifted in 15 different schools in US and Canada and finally settled in Glen Ridge, New Jersey with his mother and his stepfather. Due course of time as he grew up he developed a keen interest in acting and at the age of 18 he headed for New York to work on his new interest. After a long period of 15 years finally he made his film debut with a small part in “Endless Love”(1981). His luck clicked and he exhibited an undeniable box office appeal both from men and women audiences. His first big hit was Risky Business (1982).
With a height of 5’7”, the blue-eyed boy made up a place in audiences’ heart with the essence of his strong acting power. After his debut Tom Cruise was seen starring in some of the top grossing films such as Top Gun (1986); The Color of Money (1986), Rain Man (1988), Born on the Fourth of July (1989). In 1990 he renounced his catholic believes and embraced the church or Scientology claiming that scientology had cured him of the dyslexia that made him suffer a lot.
Though his popularity deemed slightly in the early 90’s but he was able to proof his Importance in the world of Hollywood with a splendid performance in Jerry Maguire for which he received an Academic Award Nomination for best actor. He has been also proved to be flawless as an action hero for his stunts and actions in Mission: Impossible (1996). His appearance in John Woo’s Mission: Impossible ll (2000), as international agent Ethan Hunt is also outstanding. But his ability to sell a film based almost purely on his own preferences were questioned in his 2006 release of Mission Impossible part lll.
He was married to Nicole Kidman till 2001.But the marriage did not work so far and they separated. But now his life with Katie Holmes and with his children is on the rocks.
