What is oral sex?
When we speak of oral sex in women, it would mean that the other person tries to stimulate the woman by putting his tongue into her vagina. Oral sex also means stimulating the penis or the anus. Thus, in oral sex, there is no cohabitation.
Why people resort to oral sex?
One of the reasons is that the couples want to avoid pregnancy. Some even call it as another method of sex. There are some, who say it is a safe process and there are less or no chances of HIV etc.
Is Oral Sex safe?
Doctors say if the oral sex is unprotected, then it is not safe. They even call it a myth, to say that it is safe. HIV or any diseases connected with sexually transmitted diseases can easily pass on through oral sex.
It is just sufficient if one of the partners is HIV Positive; even if the other is HIV negative, there is transmission of the disease. These are ‘Serodiscordant’ couples. Some experts are of the opinion that oral sex could be safe compared to unprotected sex; in the same breath they say that unprotected oral sex certainly carries the dangers of HIV etc.
How does one transmit the disease?
The transmission of HIV or such other diseases is more with couples who have the habit of sharing the needles during the process of injecting drugs. During the process of oral sex, the virus responsible for causing diseases, say for example, HIV causing virus or virus causing Herpes could enter the body of the male through his tongue. The possibility of bacteria entering the body is more, in case the male has some cuts or injury or boils in his mouth or on his tongue.
Safety procedure in case of oral sex:
According to medical fraternity, the best procedure for oral sex is to use a condom of very good quality. Strong and thin condoms are available and many of them are available in different taste or flavor.
Further, the couples should ensure that the fluid does not enter the mouth. The mouth should be healthy. The gums in the mouth should be healthy. The person should not have injury or cuts etc in the mouth. On the top of it, the doctors say that the person should get himself medically examined some time, after the oral sex.

You need to know how great the risk is before you start, whether other means might give better protection, and how this much protection compares to the risks of circumcision itself.
Auvert chose to measure HPV in the urethra. This is the only part of the penis where circumcised men get less HPV than other men. It is clear he wanted to prove that circumcision provides protection, and by means like this, people are generally able to get the result that they want. Only some varieties of HPV put women at risk of cervical cancer, and the causation is only partial. Various studies have shown no greater incidence of cervical cancer in the wives of non-circumcised men.
The Nielson study was very marginal indeed, bordering on no statistical signficance at all.
The Baltimore study was not as clear as you say: Only a small sub-set of the men, those with known HIV exposure, showed the circumcision effect, but only 50 of those men were not circumcised, so the “22%” who contracted HIV was only 11 men. The study shows five of those men might not have contracted HIV if they had been circumcised – or if they had sex with other partners, or fewer partners, or used condoms more often, and so on. It is impossible to extract worthwhile statistical data from such small numbers. Meanwhile 2.5% of the vast majority of men, those who had no known HIV, risk did contract HIV, and among them, circumcision had no effect..
