Ronaldo Does An SMS Dump

If cell phones have ever earned themselves a bad name, it was not just because of the ear-aches, cancer-causing or even inflammable tendencies or even the fact that recent MMS scandals have rocked the global morality keepers. It is because of the cowards it seems to be making of the guys otherwise considered macho, especially those with brawn and fame, like superstar, Ronaldo who took the easy way out of a Dear Jane letter and with the help of technology, dumped his girlfriend via an SMS!!
If that’s not shameful enough, the star footballer didn’t even respond to the accusations made by his ex-girlfriend about being a coward for sending a message over the mobile phone network about calling it quits instead of facing her and talking things over before ending their high-profile relationship.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s ex-girlfriend, a famous model in her own right and also under the football-crazy Spanish public’s scanner for her many flings, is said to have been devastated about receiving the news and that too, over SMS.
Ronaldo, who plays for Man U, had recently been linked to a string of other girls and had been involved with the Spanish beauty, Nereida Gallardo, for over 7 months. She also revealed during the public sympathy wave she was trying to ride on the basis of the SMS-dump report in the Portuguese newspapers that the $80 million star was a remarkable lover and that was the reason she stuck with him.
Nereida was open about her romance with Ronaldo and told the press she was upset about the way he ended the relationship, for which she squarely laid the blame on Ronaldo’s mum and also called the star footballer a very immature person.
Ronaldo on the other hand, is said to have dumped Nereida because of fast-flying press reports about her various flings, including the latest gossip that linked her with Spanish international footballer Sergio Ramos. When one recalls the last loving moment of theirs captured on lens while holidaying on a luxury yacht in Sardinia just last month, one can’t help but wonder how little it was expected that Ronaldo and Nereida who were so openly affectionate, would break up so soon.
But, here it is for all to see and read about technology taking over from the traditional dumping letter and romances breaking up via an SMS.
