Reasons you are still fat

You may feel you’ve tried it all: skipping ropes and meals, jogging mornings and evenings away, touching your toes till they kind of curled up to meet your gaily goals

You may feel you have done everything you could have thought of to lose weight, but the baggage stick sticks around like nobody’s business and you’re fed-up with just living on rabbit-food and a mostly liquid diet.

Well, it just may be that the key to your non-weight loss situation lies in the liquid diet you are following, since even though health ‘Smoothies’ and juices are a great source of instant energy and help you go through your day with a ‘full’ kind of feeling, they are easy to guzzle down without actually realizing the kind of calories they may be adding to your system. Even worse is the fact that your brain doesn’t quite register these liquid calories as calorie-food so they don’t really stave off hunger, but delay it for a short while, causing you to consume more at the next solid meal. The solution to beat this excess liquid calorie intake is to reach for a glass of water instead of pouring yourself that convenient but calorie laden juice and limiting its intake to 8 ounces daily or eating its whole fruit equivalent.

If you find you reach for food when you are bored or doing so without thinking, it could be a case of mindless eating e.g. sitting and munching wafers when you’re plonked in front of the telly, or reaching for the candy when you leave a hotel or a store. Keeping a food journal will help you only eat what you need to in order to reach your weight goals, so opt for this instead.

Increase your level of activity, even if you’ve been gymming it and sweating off pounds as inactivity through the day may cause you to slacken the pace you need to maintain through the day to keep the weight loss/calorie burning going.

You may also want to re-think your cheat-instances in the day i.e. when you treat yourself to a pizza slice, reach instead for the carrot sticks or cucumber salad without dressing as sometimes underestimating your calorie intake may prevent you from attaining your weight loss goals.
