Petas New Model Goes Nude
November 26, 2008
Everybody tuned into the current fashion and film scenario knows how big PETA group’s campaigning for animal cruelty issues has become with Hollywood stars and many fashion runway models, not to mention other globally known faces, taking to showing their solidarity for the cause of animal rights by posing in the little or no clothes. But when Kristen Johnston posed nude for PETA, the news raised a lot of eyebrows and excitement factors for the public who were keen to check out how the 41-year old star of the hit TV series, ‘3rd Rock From The Sun’ would manage to scorch up the posters since she was slated to have lost almost 60 pounds of excess weight just before shooting for the PETA campaign and reports suggested she truly looked breath-taking!
Apparently, for once the gossip mags were right and the drastic weight loss of Kristen Johnston could have been a cause of concern with all the latest news about ‘size zero’ figures most celebrities are obsessing with ruining their health-perspectives, but apparently Kristen was quick to point out that her latest new look (and weight loss cause) is linked with a burst ulcer for which she had to undergo treatment that caused her to lose energy and the extra kilos. She appears as Lady Godiva seated astride a horse in the hottest new photo-shoot for PETA campaigning in New York’s famous Central Park yesterday.
The actress reveals she joined forces with the animal rights group because she truly believed that the current cause: of horse-drawn carriage rides around New York city, was a cruel measure that needed to be addressed and when celebs speak up for a real issue, more people perk up to their civic sense. She further adds that she was “blown away by how these horses live” and would like to inform tourists coming to New York “there’s so much amazing stuff about Manhattan. Oh my God, just take a walk!”
She hopes her efforts for PETA will work towards moving out the carriage driven horses by next year and the NY city council member, Dan Garodnick, has subsequently stated he is proposing a new bill for eco-friendly ‘Horseless carriages’ that are slated to be exact replicas of the classic Ford Model T.
