Paris can’t seem to put an end to the constant controversy surrounding her and her antics, whether or not she is surrounded by luscious arm-candy or the latest boy-band crooner on the block or not!
The latest shock-value news snippet about the hotel heiress is that she has been ‘immortalized’ in a portrait that uses porn images.
For any other celebrity, this may be a dubious distinction but for the young, brash and attention-starved Paris (why else would she have attempted shop-lifting at a lingerie store last year?) it seems Jonathan Yeo’s depiction that has already found a buyer in artist Damien Hirst (amount undisclosed) has worked to bring in some more publicity.
The rather scandalous image is all set to be displayed as part of a new gallery show titled ‘The Outsiders’ in London’s Lazarides Gallery from the last week of September and this is a considerable downslide for Yeo, some would say, as he is the same artist who had earlier painted portraits of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Britain’s Prince Philip, former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair and media giant Rupert Murdoch.
Yeo apparently revealed to the media that he has offered the proceeds from the sale of a $20 poster of the portrait, which is entitled ‘Paris, 2008′, to the heiress, which comes as something of a daring cheek considering the diva she likes to portray herself as.
Equally outrageous portraits at the same exhibition include Yeo’s depiction of US Prez. George W. Bush, which has also been made using images from adult publications, so for once Paris is not alone in sharing shame and scandal, even if this is the artistic kind!
Some society cats may say that she may as well get used to the idea since this is hardly the first time that Paris has found herself to be an ‘artist’s muse’ as last summer, when she was arrested for drunk-driving, she was sculpted as a naked corpse in a bizarre art campaign so as to serve as a warning against the dangers of drink driving for other drivers!
