Men’s Winter Fashion and Style Tips

As a man do you feel it’s hard to achieve a variety in winter accessories? Or is it like you’re stuck in a winter rut with the same hat, glove and scarf combo? It happens to the best of us. But there are ways for you to be stylish and warm this winter.

Let’s start with the hardest part first, your feet. You’ve probably been wearing the same boot brand if not the same boots for years. But this year you might need new boots or you might just want something different.

Columbia makes boots for everyone in the family. For you, dad, purchase the polar boots which are both warm and stylish.  They boast a rubber sole, leather and a great height. So you can wear them for snow removal, snowball fights or hanging decorations. Whatever you use them for, your feet won’t suffer.

For work, try boots by Miu Miu or Kenneth Cole. Miu Miu makes some chic leather boots with brushed cotton stuffed on the inside for comfort.

Wool or Cashmere Hats Work Best

Now for the hat. Choosing a great hat is essential. Try to make your hat, coat and scarf complement each other.  In winter the safest bet is a skullcap. It is the colour and fabric that determines on which occasions  you should wear it.

Gap has a great black fleece hat that can be worn when out in the cold for extended amounts of time.  A smaller knit cap made of wool will keep your head warm but a bit more stylishly. Think of this hat as your casual hat, the Gap hat is rugged.

Leather or Cashmere Will Be Warm

Gloves are perhaps the most important choice of them all. You want to choose clothes that will allow for the most mobility, keep your hands warm and look good.

They can be worn for any and everything.  Of course if you prefer leather a simple calfskin glove with elastic in the wrist is all you need. Look for a cashmere lining, which will keep your hands cosy.
