menfashionmistakeMen too can make fashion mistakes. It is not just for women. While it may seem that there is a lot more advice out there for women, read on for some helpful tips just for men.

Sneakers, Sneakers and More Sneakers

Sneakers have become a cult. There are times when it is cool to match sneakers creatively, but NOT all the time.

There are occasions where a suit with sneakers sends a message and other times when it simply looks silly. They have their place, and in today’s easier going world, you can stretch it a bit. However, you are just not going to impress if you are wearing sneakers with your tux, or for that matter to any place that has a strict dress code.

If you are going to wear sneakers rather more often, you ought to acquire a few different pairs. Do not wear the same ones everyday and definitely not with everything.

Cuff Links Have a Purpose

Sounds simple – Cuff links are made to be worn with shirts made with French cuffs. It just looks tacky to have your open French cuffs hanging loose. Do you wear your necktie outside your collar?

Shirts made with French cuffs are frequently worn at occasions that are dressier or formal in nature. These occasions demand attention to accessories, none more so than the cufflinks that the shirt was made for. You may also use a shirt with French cuffs and cufflinks to upgrade an otherwise casual occasion.

A Suit Is a Suit

Your jacket and trouser combination can go only one of two ways. One, it is a two (or three) piece suit, bought together and made of the exact same material.

When having a suit custom made, insist that the cloth all comes from the same bolt. And second, if you are wearing a sports coat or blazer, do not even try to match the trousers. On the contrary, they are usually contrasting.

Hair from the Fifties

It has been a very long time since it was cool to have greasy looking hair. No one wants to look at it, let alone touch it. Also, all that glop is not really good for your hair anyway.

Use hair products lightly. You need much less than you think to achieve the desired result. If in doubt, ask your stylist.

Not Always Perfect

We all made a fashion mistake or two from time to time, but these mistakes are glaring and obvious. Fortunately, they are simple to avoid.
