Lose Weight Permanently
I’m sure that you have experienced this, you work hard at eating right, and performing exercise, you lose several pounds. And then one day as you go to select that favorite outfit to put on, you realize that you have gained a few of the pounds back. Talk about discouraging, you put in a lot of time and effort only to have temporary glory.
How to Keep the Weight Off
Begin with a plan. First, realize that this is going to be a lifestyle change that you are partaking and not a mere revolving cycle. In order to keep the weight off permanently, you have to continue doing the things that resulted in the weight loss in the first place.
Plan out Your Exercise Program
Here is where you develop the exercises that will help reach your goal of permanent weight loss as well as keeping it off. Once you have reached your goal, you can then relax on your plan such as going from 6 days a week down to maybe three days a week as maintenance.
Maintenance Exercises
Let’s say that you have met your goal of losing 30 pounds. Now to keep it off, you can take daily walks, use the stairs, or simple jog around the neighborhood for a good 20 minutes. This will incorporate into feeling and looking better.
Watch What You Eat
Having the correct eating habits is essential when trying to lose weight. Foods have to be nutritious and healthy for you. Stay away from those foods that can cause you to gain pounds instead of losing them; these would be foods such as sweets, sodas, and starches (potato chips). Instead, opt for fruits, yogurt, or even vegetables for snacking. Also, drink plenty of water.
As you put these into practice, you will find your body will respond to certain things in a different way. You will begin to feel more energized, feel healthier, and look fabulous.
And the best thing about it is you can continue this for many years as a way to keep the weight off. With the proper nutrition and exercise, you can keep off the weight.
