Looking Good while Feeling Frazzled
If you feel pressed for time in the mornings, you are not alone. It seems like from the moment your feet hit the floor in the morning, you are rushed and in a hurry.
You have to shower, get the kids up, make breakfast, serve breakfast, and make sure the kids have their lunches and homework, and all the other little minor emergencies that seem to pop up only in the morning.
By the time you get to your car, you are worn out. You look at yourself in the mirror and realize you didn’t even put on lipstick, much less makeup. Oh well, maybe tomorrow.
Do you realize that, if you could set aside just a few minutes every morning, you could make yourself look twice as good? With just a little extra effort, you could transform your looks and give your self-confidence a boost that would last all day long. Here are some pointers to help you look your very best.
Foundation
Use a disposable sponge to apply a light coat of foundation. It will improve the looks of your complexion and also protect you from the sun’s harmful rays.
Lips or Eyes
Choose which feature you want to accent but don’t do both lips and eyes because you will look clownish. If you choose eyes, then apply eyeliner, a neutral shadow, and a little mascara. If you choose lips, then stick to a light pink or glossy shade to avoid a heavy daytime look.
Eyebrows
If you have light eyebrows, use a slightly darker pencil to darken them. If they are already dark, you can just leave them alone.
Anyone for a Moustache?
If you have hair on your upper lip, then wax or thread it. If you have it on your chin, pluck it. We don’t want to leave home with a moustache, do we?
Hair
Wash hair several times a week to keep it clean and gorgeous. If it’s frizzy, use a little oil to tame it back down. Wear hairstyles that suit your face shape and get your hair trimmed regularly.
Don’t be scared to try new hairstyles, new lipstick colors, or new cosmetics in general. Above all, don’t get stuck in a rut by looking the same way every day of your life. Change is good!
