Lisa Marie Presley Gives Birth to Twins

The latest news on the music entertainment scene is related to the legend, Elvis Presley’s daughter, Lisa Marie Presley (once infamously married to pop-star turned public mockery, Michael Jackson) recently delivering twins!
Many magazine and TV reporters, including Entertainment Today, the leading Hollywood glamour channel, have been covering the progress of the lovely Lisa and her pregnancy, which had already leaked the news to all national and international publications about Lisa-Marie expecting a double-birth, but it was only confirmed on the 7th of October 2008.
Hubby, Michael Lockwood was present with Lisa Marie at the time of delivery and the twin bundles of joy are the couple’s first kids together, so it would be nature to assume that both were understandable excited and overwhelmed with the news of healthy, bonny baby girls on their lucky Tuesday birth.
Lisa Marie’s husband is a music producer and she herself was a successful model, which comes as no surprise since both her parents were glamorous and famous people too (The King of Rock, Elvis Presley and Priscilla, the Dancing Star). She has 2 teenage children from her previous marriage to Danny Keough – a 19-year-old daughter, Riley, and a 15-year-old son, Benjamin.
The twin baby girls weighing 5 pounds, 15 ounces and 5 pounds, 2 ounces were birthed by C-section at 2:46pm and both mother and babies were reported to be happy and healthy. They were taken home soon after to rest in the comfort of their mansion.
So, the age-factor (Lisa Marie is 40 and Michael is 47) doesn’t seem to be going against the happy parents at all, it appears as the news that twins were expected in their home was broken earlier in August to the public, with the ecstatic (a word used by Priscilla Presley, Lisa’s mum to describe how she felt at the prospect of being a grand mom again) already having informed close friends and family about it in March this year.
She also revealed to the press that twins apparently run in the Presley family as Lisa Marie’s father, Elvis was a twin (a brother who died on birth) and she, too, has younger brothers who are twins! A double coincidence, wouldn’t you say?
Lisa Marie’s representative made a public statement after the new mom was discharged from the hospital, saying, “The babies and mom are happy and healthy and resting at home.”
