You can compensate the reduced calorie consumption with quality consumption – in terms of nutritive value. This will automatically boost metabolism.

Another way to increase metabolism is to have spicy food such as hot peppers- they contain capsaicin that elevates metabolic activity. Another way to include spices in your food is to increase the intake of cinnamon- which is said to increase metabolic activity almost 20 fold.

Another way to boost metabolism will be to increase the amount of vitamin C intake. Vitamin C is known to burn fat. Good sources of vitamin C are citrus fruits such as oranges, Clementine, tangerine, kiwi fruit and grapefruit.

They are best consumed in the form of fruits. They may be consumed in the form of juices as well, but have the disadvantage of added sugar.

Adequate water intake boosts metabolism. Cold water especially is known to increase metabolic rate. This is because the body needs to push itself harder to heat up the liquid.

Eating frequent meals – 6 small meals is recommended to keep the metabolic activity up and running. This way more calories are burnt. Fat is more quickly converted to energy.

These natural tips followed consistently will help boost metabolism. Increased levels of metabolism automatically help in burning fat. This results in more energy and greater weight loss.

Daily consumption of a multivitamin will also supplement key vitamins and minerals not obtained through regular food.
