Hard Truths About Viagra
November 13, 2008
Viagra hit the Indian market about a decade ago amid a lot of controversy and excitement surrounding its actual results. The hype generated by various print and TV advertisements compelled a whole generation of middle-aged men to wonder whether this little blue pill could actually get their nightlife up and going again.
To admit to certain honesty, many leading Indian doctors were also curious about the nature and scope about Viagra and consulted with their global counterparts as Viagra and similar libido enhancing drugs had already achieved FDA approval in countries like the US. What had actually started out as a solution for helping men’s health issues like stress or age related lax libido and sexual performance, with a little more furtive experimentation and easy access (with even corner chemists stocking it and palm-greasing serving to get it without a prescription) soon turned disturbing as many men started using Viagra for recreational purposes.
It was reported that many men below 35 were using Viagra ‘just for kicks’ and this was alarming since the drug is not entirely without side-effects, according to Dr. Steven Lamm, M.D. and faculty member at NY University, who has authored the book, ‘The Hardness Factor.’ Being a renowned men’s health expert, when he expressed his concern about the type of behaviour it could possible result in, even for otherwise healthy males in the prime of their youth, it was indeed a wake-up call for many who had so far used it or considered using it recreationally. Among the most serious side effects of Viagra are Priaprism (erection lasting over 4 hours, which can cause permanent erectile dysfunction) and sudden death, if taken along with other drugs that contain a nitrate derivative (e.g. Poppers).
Men suffering from hypertension and diabetes are especially warned not to use Viagra without permission from their doctors, as it can prove fatal for them besides the emotional dependency frequent use of the drug can cause in regular males.
Thus, it pays to educate yourself about the proper use of Viagra for a fulfilling sexual life instead of indiscriminate use for a few moments’ pleasure that can go terribly wrong sometimes.

Impulse eating is a HUGE problem for us.
I teach the Mediterranean diet for Americans, and find that they lower their cholesterol, control weight, and stabilize glucose with this approach.
Even with the sumptuous foods they eat, we can learn how to control those cravings.
Something we are missing in this search, however, is that the Mediterranean diet is NOT just about the food. It is also about the habits of healthy eating.
How you eat is just as important as what you eat, and this forms the core reason we see the successes we do with this approach.

It is not enough to say that circumcision reduces the risk of this or that disease, or even reduces it by this or that percent. You need to know how great the risk is before you start, whether other means might give better protection, and how this much protection compares to the risks of circumcision itself.
Auvert chose to measure HPV in the urethra. This is the only part of the penis where circumcised men get less HPV than other men. It is clear he wanted to prove that circumcision provides protection, and by means like this, people are generally able to get the result that they want. Only some varieties of HPV put women at risk of cervical cancer, and the causation is only partial. Various studies have shown no greater incidence of cervical cancer in the wives of non-circumcised men.
The Nielson study was very marginal indeed, bordering on no statistical signficance at all.
The Baltimore study was not as clear as you say: Only a small sub-set of the men, those with known HIV exposure, showed the circumcision effect, but only 50 of those men were not circumcised, so the “22%” who contracted HIV was only 11 men. The study shows five of those men might not have contracted HIV if they had been circumcised – or if they had sex with other partners, or fewer partners, or used condoms more often, and so on. It is impossible to extract worthwhile statistical data from such small numbers. Meanwhile 2.5% of the vast majority of men, those who had no known HIV, risk did contract HIV, and among them, circumcision had no effect..
I agree. approaching is half the battle. It demonstrates confidence immediately, which all women find attractive.
