Guy Ritchie to get 18 Million from Madonna

The tabloids have been having a field day with the on-off rumours of Madonna’s men lately and the fact that there have been so many of them too, to add to the scandal-mongering. However, nothing comes close to the speculation over the ‘Material Girl’s marriage, which has reportedly been on the rocks for some time now. Some entertainment magazines have been publishing articles stating Madonna’s been seeking a separation from her English husband while others have been contrary and saying it was Guy who wants to break the marital ties.

Latest web news reports credit Guy Ritchie, famous filmmaker and celebrity in his own right, as wanting a status of ‘just friends’ with high-maintenance wife, pop-singer, Madonna. Others close to the couple state their marriage has been in troubled waters for some months now and it could all well turn out to be a publicity stunt for generating public interest and boosting ticket sales for the pop-icon’s upcoming tour (slated to rake in above $300million for Madonna!)

Even old pals Madonna have gone on to quote that she may simply be playing the media as well as her fans to generate publicity; however, the star’s representative, Liz Rosenberg, refused to comment on the settlement amount even though it was confirmed that the split was happening.

The New York newspapers have leaked the news of Guy Ritchie getting close to 18 million dollars from Madonna as a divorce settlement and also that he would not be speaking to the press about his 7 and a ½ year marriage to Madonna, also known as the Queen of Pop.

Sources close to Guy Ritchie have revealed that the 40-year old had been thinking the split over for some time now and has taken it as an inevitable decision and is breathing easy now that the step has been taken: “Guy is walking away and has said he is a much happier man.” Guy Ritchie may also be entitled to Ashcombe House in Wiltshire (situated on 1200 acres) and co-owned with Madonna and will have full access to both sons, Rocco and David Banda after the divorce comes through.
