Going On A Low Carb Diet

The low carb diet is regarded by many men as a wonder of modern dieting and nothing short of a miracle weight control plan, as those going on this diet are given a wide range of tasty food that is filling besides being the type that promotes weight loss fast.

So, we know there are a lot of you out there fighting winter weight gain and occasional dilemmas in your regular weight loss plan – and that’s just why we’ve brought you the dope on what it means to go on a low carb diet, right here.

Some basic facts about going on a low carb diet:

Firstly, carbohydrates grant the necessary fuel for any daily activity, be it doing workout that require more energy e.g. swimming, squatting or running; secondly, they are the substance that help the body turn these into glycogen, which revs up the metabolism, keeping  men powered up. So, if your body can’t stock up glycogen, your body may lose vital amounts of protein and your muscles thus, may lose their power. This is why healthy carb levels balance out energy levels and are important to upkeep.

Low-carb dieting is aimed at controlling hunger as carbs affect insulin levels in the body, which, if they fall too low, lead to sudden hunger pangs; however, a frequent small meals low-carb, but high protein (lean, preferably unless you are an endurance athlete), is a great way to fill up the stomach and also lose weight gradually with monitoring of diet and changing meal plans to prevent boredom.

However, before going on a low carb diet, it is important to remember that letting the carb levels that affect insulin production in the body to go too low (five percent of total calories intake or less), then the body may go into a state of ‘ketosis,’ wherein the body may use these instead of the fat stores for fuel, is preferred method for weight loss.

This must be actively avoided in any low carb diet plan. Instead, do away with bread, macaroni, bagels, potatoes slowly from the diet to consume lesser calories through carbs and go for fresh fruit, veggies and health drinks besides the occasional steak meal to make your balanced low-carb diet work.
