Getting The James Bond Look
February 18, 2009
So it’s Pierce Brosnan that’s got your attention these days. Yes he did pull of an incredible good impression on a lot of people when he donned the robes of none other than James Bond. Pierce Brosnan as agent 007 got us all wanting to do ‘his’ act. Well not literally I mean by dashing around in fancy cars (actually one would not mind that really) or his death defying scenes, not to forget the stunts. Well that’s what special agents do when you cast them as 007 Special Service. So what if we can not get a hold of all that action, but we could get a hold of all the fabulous clothes he wore.
The Italian clothier Brioni had the envious job of getting the new Bond in the form of Pierce Brosnan into that smashing look. So out went the high wasted trousers and any thing close to the ‘80s look. What did you see was sharp fitting suits. Added to it was the knee length coats which were really smart. Did you miss the leather gloves? So if it’s a look that caught your imagination then the all black ensemble can be your fashion icon to, straight out from none other than a 007 film. It will go even as formal wear.
The other look which seems to have got a thumbs up from many was his less formal look in his leather jacket. Please do not forget the details like watches. It was a Seamasters Omega quartz professional that he flashed off his hands for all four of his movies. Pierce Brosnan in fact in all four movies wore a range of many suits. Take your pick as they are all very continental, which makes them very stylish while not over stating their functionality. If you have a good dependable tailor you feel you can trust, go ahead and let him put some of these fabulous clothes together for you.
If you are some one who works out and has a well defined body like our friend Pierce we may recommend to you to try out Italian style suits. A navy blue is one of the best buys when it comes to such suits. They seem to carry their own attitude of royalty. There are also very easy to mix with other dress shirts. With regards to shoes it Oxfords that we think can never fail. Cash in on a good pair, you will never regret it.
