Internships are not always about young men or fresh graduates who are seeking to pick up some much needed experience before committing to a high-paying, full time ‘real job.’ They are increasingly being pursued by men in their twenties as a means to gaining more in-depth knowledge about an industry they are interested to learn about, perhaps even make a career change towards or simply as a road to breaking the monotony of staying at home due to recession.
