Get Those Six Pack Abs

If you’re like any regular guy out there, you’ll surely have wasted some sleepless moments wondering what on earth do those men with washboard abs eat for breakfast! Well, have we got some news for you! It’s not just what you eat, but what you do after you eat the right stuff that affects the way it gets stored in the body or shapes this essential part of you.

You too can shed that beer-belly by taming those ‘Rectus Abdominus,’ also known as the easiest muscles to corrupt and the most difficult to develop by organizing and sticking to a disciplined workout schedule.

Don’t expect miracles in a month. It takes some heavy-duty stuffing up on the calories to develop the layers of flab around the tummy, so at the least, you may have to be prepared for putting in a few months of sustained sensible dieting efforts combined with adequate sleep and workouts.

Consult a trained dietician so you don’t leave out any essential food group or lack nutrients while concentrating on the exercise routine and take tips from a physical trainer so you know exactly which group of muscles need to be focussed on for the lean, mean, macho appearance.

For getting that washboard wonder look, it is simply not enough just to exercise the abdominals alone as the Rectus Oblicus (muscles on the side, but just above the hips, known as the ‘love handles’) must also be exercised. Repetitions of Leg lifts and working the back muscles are also important for achieving that toned, perfect abs look.

You will also need to lose fat deposits in all your muscle groups; you can do this by combining some form of weights in your exercise and toning up routine, though these needn’t be very heavy weights.

Include some form of cardiovascular exercising for at least 20 minutes daily especially if you have a set routine in place. E.g. A fixed time to wake up and charge those energy cells with a nutritional breakfast, dividing meals into small snacks like potatoes and salads every 3 hours and including a fiber-rich diet for maximum meals.

The easy availability of work-out DVDs and rentals makes it easy for men to learn the best forms of abdominal exercises from a certified personal trainer who will stress on the importance of warming-up before trying out various crunch exercises, like the bent knee crunch, bicycle crunch, exercise ball crunch, long arm crunch and the V crunch and lay equal emphasis on including assorted leg and hip raises that help to strengthen and condition abdominal muscles.
