Get Bigger Arms
Weight training is a great way to get bigger arms and a muscular physique. You do not just want to train your arms exclusively. That would be hard to do anyway.
Compound muscle building is a great way to get bigger arms. Compound muscle building exercises work more than one muscle and joint at a time. It is more efficient than isolation exercises that just train one muscle at a time. You also spend less time in the gym.
You need to gain twenty pounds of muscle mass to gain one inch of arm muscle. You also need to train your entire body to get a good physique. You do not want mammoth arms on a skinny body. That would be unlikely because compound exercises use so many muscles. Your triceps make up two thirds of your arm muscle. The following are compound exercises for your arms.
The bench press works the chest and triceps. The bent over bar row is another good exercise for your arms. When doing this exercise make sure, your back is flat. This works your lats, back, and triceps.
The overhead military press is an excellent exercise for the upper body and triceps. Pull-ups are a standard for the biceps. You can use a weighted belt around your waist to make them more difficult.
Dips are another good arm builder. A weighted dip is even better. Barbell squats work your lower body and your arms. The dead lift with stiff legs is recommended to build up your arms. It will build your biceps and quads.
Push-ups cannot be forgotten for your arm building workout. Another simple way to build arm muscles is to stand between a doorway, lean forward, and push yourself back.
These are just a few important arm building exercises. The ideal workout is to work out with weights three days a week, do aerobics three times a week, and take one day off.
You also need to eat a sensible diet with a variety of fruits, vegetables, proteins, and mono-saturated fats. Finally, you need to rest. It is during rest that the muscles repair themselves and grow. Allow 24 hours between workouts and try to get eight hours of sleep a night.
