Fitness Tips That Work
If you happened to ask 20 people how to get into shape and lose weight fast you will get as many different answers. This is the problem with the so called fitness experts; they are all stating personal opinions instead of speaking scientifically. What I mean to say is that their answers are not backed by scientific findings and research.
In a nutshell it will suffice to say that if you want to lose weight you have to get the fat cells in your body to come in contact with Oxygen. This is the only way to dissolve the fat. And to get the Oxygen to the fat cells you have to circulate your blood, the connective tissue that carries Oxygen and nutrients to the muscles. And to do this you have to exercise.
Cardiovascular exercise is the technique that strengthens the skeletal muscles by enlarging the cardiac muscles forcing it to deliver greater quantities of blood to the muscles. The increased respiration rate enables the lungs to deliver greater quantities of Oxygen to the blood thus facilitating optimum circulation and toning of muscles.
Now the question is for how long must one exercise and how often? The answer to this question is very simple. As a rule of thumb one must exercise for at least an hour daily. The first 15 minutes of exercise do not count because this is the time that the fat cells take to begin reacting with the fresh oxygen supply. Every additional minute will burn fat in the body and enable toning of the muscle.
For how long must you exercise? Well as another rule remember to give yourself as many months to get into shape as you gave yourself years to get out of it. This is the healthiest way to get into shape and stay that way.
