Exercise Smart To Lose Your Gut
March 7, 2009
If the beer bar has been your friend now for so long and you now have the infamous beer belly blow out, it may be time to get it all back into the pants. As tough as it may be it would do you a world of good as we all know that excess fat is just going to land us into the hospital sooner than later. It is time you gave it a thought. The decision may be a tough one after all that rolling about on the couch for all these days, but surely your health is of importance to you.
Well the first thing you will need to do is to let go of the beer loving evenings that you have indulged in for so long. The wise way to loose weight is to knock it off slowly. Loosing more than 4 pounds a month is unhealthy, is a well established fact. So please do not imagine that some thing that you have taken over 2 to 3 years to put under can now be sent into oblivion in a month or two. More over loosing weigh is a life style change and not a spot reduction plan. If you are planning to knock of the weight and just hit the bar back again then you might as well forget it.
You need to once you are off the beer for a good week start with simply walking a good 15 to 20 minutes a day. You need not hit the gym just yet. Walk around the blocks of the house is what I would suggest. Limber up all those joints of yours with some simple stretches you must have learnt in high school. Keep the routine up for a month, increasing your walking up to 30 minutes at the minimum. Similarly increase they number of stretches that you started out with.
One would imagine that with the beer out of your daily intake there would be also other things that will be off your diet now, like chips and other high fat saturated snacks. Now with the walking you need to start timing you’re self. Try and push your self each day on your 30 minute walking exercise. If you want to knock off that fat you will need to push your self, so go for it. As a general rule you should be breathing hard at the end of the 30 minutes. Keep doing your stretches daily to loosen up all those joints. In 6 months time hit the gym and let a trainer help you with your plan forward.
