Erykah Badu Hot Or Not?
Erykah Badu was born on February 26, 1971, in Dallas, Texas. Both her mother, Kolleen and grand mother raised the aspiring singers. Her mother inspired her to develop interest in painting, dance and acting. She joined the Dallas Theater Center at the age of 4. Badu was inspired by singers (Chaka Khan, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder) and try to talk freestyle on air when she was just 14 years old.
Erykah’s debut album released in 1997 and also it was debuted on rank 2 on the Billboard chart. Her introspective lyrics and jazzy, bass-heavy sound, and was hailed as one of the leading lights of the burgeoning neo soul genre make her separate from other people. She won Grammy Award in 1998. She was also featured on the song “You Got Me,” co-written by Jill Scott, which hit the top 40 and won a Grammy for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group.
