Dido was born on December 25, 1971, in London, England. Her father, William O’Malley Armstrong was a literary agent and her mother, Claire was a poetess who writes poems as her hobby. As she spent her childhood without television, so she kept her busy in playing recorder. She was accepted by the Guildhall School of Music when she was 6 years old.
Career- Dido’s debut album ‘No Angel’ was produced by Dido with the help of other contributors and it was released in mid-1999. This album was a big hit and shape up her career. In 1998, the music producer for the film ‘Sliding Doors’ picked her track “Thank You” for the soundtrack. Dido was introduced to US audience in 2000 with the help of Eminem. Her debut album, in which he was also featured with Eminem, was a big hit and gained good rank in hit charts in Europe.
